Flowers for Mother’s Day
The second Sunday in May is Mother’s Day in America. Children in the “English through Art” program planted flowers to honor their mothers. They also learned some new vocabulary and grammar to go along with this theme. In the art class they drew and colored pictures of flowers, caterpillars and butterflies.

Great Success for the ACS Theatre Program

Day of Silence at ACS
Today, April 20, 364 ACS students, teachers, and members of the school administration participate in the Day of Silence. Initiated by the Embrace Club, the event is a significant step towards accepting ourselves and others here at ACS.

ACS Students' Results at the Science Competitions during the Spring Vacation
The National round of the Chemistry Competition took place in Stara Zagora. Peter Mitev 12/7 and Vladislava Paskova 11/2 ranked third as a team and won bronze medals.
ACS students took part also in the Spring National Physics Competition in Shumen.

Spelling Bee
Оn April 3 all the 8th graders got together in the Whitaker Auditorium to cheer their classmates participating in the final round of the 8th Grade Spelling Bee Competition.

On Saturday, March 31 ACS students won the first and the second place at the Competition for Physics Devices organized by the Sofia branch of the Union of the Physicists in Bulgaria.

Press Release responding to the reported incident whereby a dog pack attacked a resident of Malinova Dolina district
As per the information released earlier today, that “an ACS teacher is in the hospital struggling for his life, after he was attacked by a dog pack in the Malinova Dolina district of Sofia”, the American College of Sofia would like to clarify that the person who was attacked is not an employee of the school. Nevertheless, we take this opportunity to express our sincere concern that the stray dogs problem on and around the ACS campus is a continuous risk for our students and employees.
