Dear students,

The Student Activities Fund is ready to announce itsnew funding round for extracurricular projects and activities in the 2017-2018 academic year. With the help of SAF, you are eligible to receivegrants of up to 500 BGN to support your idea.
THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SOFIA
The Ministry of Education and Science officially declared the American College of Sofia "an innovative school" for its project Integrating technology into the learning environment through the use of Chromebooks and the Google Classroom platform.
The construction of the new student center is now under way. It started off with a ground breaking ceremony on September 21, 2016, an event, organized by ACS and America for Bulgaria Foundation (ABF), among the official guests of which were the Ambassador of the United States of America, the Honorable Eric S. Rubin, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mr. Diyan Stamatov, Deputy Minister of the Interior Mr. Tsyvatko Georgiev, Deputy Mayor of Sofia Municipality Dr. Todor Chobanov, ACS and ABF trustees, faculty, partners, friends, many parents, as well as the full student body.
We are pleased to announce that Fibank has taken interest in supporting independent projects of ACS students, and has made a generous donation towards developing student initiatives. All student clubs as well as individual students are eligible to apply for project funding. Students have already received information about the application procedure and deadlines, and are encouraged to follow all updates.

Does this picture look familiar? Yes, the boys have done it again. Just like last year, Ivan Ivanov and Milen Ferev won citations from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for projects that we, mortals, can't fully comprehend but are awed by nevertheless.
The Sofia regional stage of the Student Games' table tennis tournament has come to pass. Ivan Dinkov, advisor to the ACS table tennis teams, brought us this fabulous news on the last day of school:
The boys team won the ACS Volleyball Open.
