Inez Abbott Giving Circle

We start where she started.
Named for an educational trailblazer in ACS’s history, The Inez Abbott Giving Circle honors Inez Louise Abbott and her dedication to the education of Bulgarian children. We start where she started — supporting the education of young women from outside of Sofia. Abbott’s remarkable legacy began with her arrival in Bulgaria in 1907. She served as principal of The Girls School in Samokov for 20 years, and was instrumental in the consolidation of the Girls School and the Boys School into the American College of Sofia in 1926-27. Abbott Hall on the ACS campus proudly honors her memory.
