Academic English

In our increasingly globalized world, a growing number of students are choosing to study abroad or pursue education in English. Mastering English has become essential for achieving academic excellence in various fields. This course is designed for those who seek intellectual challenge and want to acquire the skills necessary to excel in higher education.

During this course students will practice:

• reading skills such as scanning, skimming, note-taking, analyzing, and reading in detail;

• reading different types of text such as articles, transcripts, book reviews, and lecture slides;

• listening and speaking skills in different contexts such as lectures, seminars, discussions and debates, group projects, and presentations;

• writing skills such as summarizing, referencing, using evidence, signposting and quoting;

• writing longer texts such as research papers, argumentative essays, and literature reviews.

Who is this course for? Students with B2/C1 English, who plan to or have already started to study at a university where English is used as a working language.

Duration & Schedule:

• 2 modules of 60 academic hours each

• Saturdays - 1:30pm - 4:30pm

  • Module 1: October 3, 2026 - February 6, 2027

  • Module 2: February 13, 2027 - June 12, 2027
