FISSION International Science Fair

The eleventh edition of the FISSION International Science Fair will take place on April 17-18, 2026 at the ACS campus. It will host participants from around the globe and enable them to present their projects, engage in meaningful discussions, and elaborate on one another’s work, allowing them to unleash their creativity and receive awards for their effort and commitment. 

FISSION is open to students Grade 5-12 and their projects in categories ranging from biomedical, biological, and chemical sciences to ecology and environmental sciences, computer science, mathematics, physical sciences and engineering. 

The festival starts on April 17, 2026, when the participants are expected to arrive in the afternoon to bring their projects at ACS and register. It continues on the following day, April 18, with the opening ceremony, guest speaker talks, presentation of projects, and award ceremony. There are also workshops and lectures planned, offering valuable networking opportunities. Meals are secured throughout the whole time for participating students and advisors.

Guests are invited to view the displayed projects and meet the young scholars from Sofia, the rest of the country, and abroad - on Saturday, April 18, 11 am to 1 pm at the ACS Gym a k a the Bubble.
