ACS Debate Open - Results

The ACS Debate Open took place during the weekend of January 17th and 18th. The event that attracted 48 participants from six schools was organized by the ACS Debate Club with President our senior Adelina Ivanova, Vice President Stoyan Trenchev from 11th Grade and advisor Michael Deegan.

The debates were in English and the format of the debates was “World Schools.” The tournament was unique in that there were no divisions, as in the novice debate teams competed against the varsity debate teams. This allowed for the novice teams to really develop their skills and to learn from more experienced debaters.

Congratulations to all participating teams from the six schools: ELS Plovdiv, First English Language School – Sofia, Foreign Language High School “Acad. L. Stoyanov”- Blagoevgrad, Bertolt Brecht Language High School - Pazardzhik, Dimitar Hadjivasilev State High School of Economics - Svishtov, and ACS.
