ACS Debaters in Finals against University Students

Kristiya Navushtanova ’19 and Boyana Atanasova ’19 were one of three ACS teams to compete at the Technical University in Sofia on October 31.

Kristiya and Boyana made it to the finals in four rounds. They beat 21 teams where most of the participants were more experienced university students. The final round’s topic was “This administration believes that data obtained through unethical experiments should not be used by the scientific community.” In the end, 6 judges voted for Kristiya and Boyana, and 7 favored the opposing team. This one vote meant that the girls came second in the overall competition. The other ACS teams at the tournament were Yordan Georgiev ’19 - Ina Assenova ’20, and Joanna Dimitrova ’17 - Nikola Michaylov ’18.
