Nature Zones Converge on Ostrander

Last week, the world came together in the foyer of Ostrander Hall. With no humans in it, it seemed like a better world.

We are talking about the exhibition of dioramas crafted by ACS 9th graders for their Geography class. Much more than mere illustrations of different climate zones, those were exquisite pieces of art: every tiny detail revealing the creativity, thought and esthetic that went into its conception and making.

This journey through the nature zones of our planet also summarizes the effects of project-based learning - and that in order for one to truly grasp something, (re)creating it certainly goes a long way.

The exposition also served as a breath of fresh air before the final exams which are consuming all the creativity, thought and esthetic of our students this week.
