Elizabeth Dzhambazova won the third prize in an International Art Competition

We are proud to announce that ACS tenth grader Elizabeth Dzhambazova won the third prize in the International Art Competition I Saw Disaster with My Eyes.

At the regional competition in May, Elizabeth’s work won her the first prize. This time Elizabeth competed with students from Bulgaria, Europe, and Asia. Exhibited works showed interesting ideas about our contemporary world and its threats. Most impressive were the ones from India and Malaysia, distinguished by bright colours and spectacular compositions.

The ambassadors of Pakistan and Serbia were present at the official ceremony, as well as Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Interior along with a number of children and their teachers from different regions of Bulgaria.

ACS is proud that Elizabeth's work was awarded by the prestigious jury consisting of well known artists from the Bulgarian Academy of Arts, the Ministry of Education, and the National Palace of Children. It is a recognition of the hard work and devotion of ACS students and their teacher Ms. Nia Decheva demonstrated in art classes.
