Information for College Representatives

We would be delighted to host you for a visit to the American College of Sofia. Our students and counselors look forward to meeting you and learning more about your academic programs.

Recommended Visit Times

We recommend that you visit in the fall, although we can also accommodate visits in the winter or spring. Our school year begins in the middle of September, so please plan to visit after the third week of September. Please try to schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance so that we can advertise to our students. You may also find it useful to check our school calendar for school closures and Bulgarian national holidays. We attempt to schedule visits in accordance with the schedules of students, as far as feasible. We can accommodate your visit at two points in the day:

  • during lunch (usually 11:15 – 12:10)
  • after school (usually 3:45 – 4:30)

For a lunchtime visit, you may select the visit format that works best for you, either a formal presentation or a set up where you would be positioned at a central area of campus where you can be approached by students (similar to a college fair). Our counselors would be happy to help you decide on the best visit format for you. Please contact us if your schedule requires us to consider other possibilities.

Please Note:  For presentations after school, we are more than happy to extend invitations to the larger community, including parents and other quality schools around Bulgaria.

Group University Visits

We have the capacity to hold a large number of universities on our campus. We welcome you to contact us when you are planning your trip to Sofia for other pother, and we will be happy to coordinate with you and other universities to hold a fair on our campus.  Again, we are happy to extend the invitation to other quality high schools in Bulgaria.

Virtual Visits & Webinars

We understand that your physical presence is not always possible and are able to facilitate Virtual Visits/Webinars as an alternative. Please contact our department (d.veleva@acsbg.org) and we will work with you to organize a suitable time for you and our students.
