ACS STUDENTS SCIENCE ACHIEVEMENTS

The National Round of the Astronomy Olympiad took place between April 25 and April 27 in Dimitrovgrad.

The ACS only participant Konstantin Karchev ranked first in the senior group. He got top scores both on theoretical and practical problems. Kosyo will have a chance to represent Bulgaria on the International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics.

The results from ACS participation in the national round of the physics olympiad are oustanding!
ACS had 4 students qualified for the national round of the Olympiad: one 9 grader, one 11 grader and two seniors.

The results from the national olympiad round on Saturday, April 12 are as follows:

Our participant Hristo Papazov 9/4 ranked eighth out of 25 participants in the country with 25.75 points out of 30. 

All our students in the upper age group ranked in the top 20 which allowed them to compete on the second day of the Olympiad with great results: 

Konstantin Karchev grade 11/4 ranked­ fourth out of 50 participants with 50 points out of of 60 points possible. 

Viktor Kouzmanov 12/4 ranked fifth out of 50 participants with 47 points out of 60 possible. 

Krastin Krastev 12/4 ranked fourteenth out of 50 participants with 29.25 points out of 60 points possible.

On April 13 – the selection round took place to rank the top 10 students in the country which will later continue preparation and compete to be among the 5 best members of the BG team.

This second day of the Olympiad is on problems and experiments like those given on the International Physics Olympiad. The results are amazing.
