ACS Team Finshes Third in the National Linguistics Olympiad

Congratulations to juniors Nikola Nikolov and Ivan Valchanov!

Bulgaria’s top 120 linguistics competitors competed at the National Round of the Linguistics Olympiad, held in Burgas April 19-21 to determine the extended national team.

The competition proceeded in two days, with an individual contest on Saturday, April 20, and a team contest on April 21. ACS was presented by two contestants, Nikola Nikolov and Ivan Valchanov, who had previously qualified at the municipal and the regional rounds of the Linguistics Olympiad. The joint team of four students, two from the American College of Sofia and two from the National Science and Mathematics High School “Acad. Lyubomir Chakalov” - Sofia, earned the third place in the prestigious competition.

Kudos to Nikola Nikolov and Ivan Valchanov and their teammates! Nikola and Ivan prepared for the Linguistics competition on their own time, in the Linguistics Club at ACS.
